Projects
- At the
Arabic Papyrology School (www.ori.uzh.ch/aps)
which was developed at the University of Zurich students of all levels can train themselves in the reading of Arabic papyrus and paper documents. The Papyrus School is set up so that students can test their progress by working with increasingly harder texts. The web-site contains a dictionary with the vocabulary appearing in the texts and explanatory notes on the texts.
- The University of Zurich is currently also working on the establishment of an
Arabic Papyrology Database (www.ori.uzh.ch/apd)
which will contain editions of published Arabic texts on papyrus and paper. The database will be searchable and will contain bibliographical notes. Corrections on the texts suggested in scholarly publications will be included in the editions appearing in the Database.
